The Journey to the Perfect Jeans Without a Waist Gap

Like many of you, I spent years searching for the perfect pair of jeans. Ones that would hug my small waist while still giving enough room for my wider hips and fuller thighs. The fitter I got and the more time I spent in the gym, the harder it became to find jeans that actually fit. Almost every pair I tried had that annoying “waist gap.” It became a standard task for me to add extra buttons to my jeans to make them fit. The waist was often 5 to 8 cm too big, and it was super frustrating.

After countless attempts in stores and online, I was pretty much done. Sure, there are brands that claim to cater to curves, but nothing fit the way I had hoped. The waist was always too wide, and the fabric never stretchy enough to fit comfortably around my hips and bum. I knew I wasn’t the only one with this problem! 🛍️

Time to Do It Myself

At one point, I thought: why not just make my own jeans? Together with my boyfriend Ron, who has experience in entrepreneurship, we set out on a mission to create the perfect jeans. Not just a quick fix, but a real solution to the frustration that I (and so many other women like me) felt every time I tried on another pair of ill-fitting jeans. 🙅‍♀️

Testing, Fitting, and More Testing...

We started by doing research and ordering various jean styles. We ordered about ten samples – from existing models to custom-made options. And every time, it was the same: the waist was too wide, and the fabric wasn’t stretchy enough. It seemed like the perfect jeans didn’t exist. But we didn’t give up. 💪

We realized that if we truly wanted to be satisfied, we had to develop our own unique fabric. A blend of high-quality cotton, extra stretch, and a bit of polyester to ensure the jeans would last for years, even after hundreds of washes. After plenty of testing, fittings, and adjustments, we finally arrived at the first version of CURVJEANS. 🎉

Now, after months of hard work, I’m so proud to say that the jeans are finally ready! They are exactly what I’ve been searching for – jeans that embrace my curves without that annoying waist gap.
